Participants discover a variety of techniques such as linocut, monotype, drypoint, stamp creation, and many more. Each technique offers a new way to play with textures, layering, and creative expression. Designed for all levels, these workshops provide a welcoming environment where beginners can ease into the practice, while more experienced participants can deepen their skills, refine their gestures, and explore new approaches. Whether attending just one session or participating regularly, each workshop allows participants to leave with an original print, a better understanding of the process, and the creative momentum to continue practicing independently.

Over time, the series evolves—its content too—inviting both new and returning participants to discover and learn something fresh at every meeting. Through both theoretical and practical supports, a wide range of themes will be covered, including techniques, materials, and tools: linocut, drypoint, monotype, stamp creation, pattern design, fabric printing, press engraving, paper embossing, printing on other surfaces, tool-making, and even fanzine creation.

Our workshops are French, English, and Spanish friendly. Whether you are more comfortable creating in your native language or practicing another, the sessions are designed to be accessible and welcoming to all.

Botanical Impressions on Ceramics | Session 4
with Juli Estrada

In this session we continue our printing exploration but with a change of mediums : clay. Clay will be the new surface which we will explore through our nature-inspired motifs and impressions. These motifs will be developed through on-site research, supported by a few reference publications. Participants will design and carve a set of stamps, then apply them to small ceramic objects to take home (though these will need to dry on-site for a few days before collection!).

Impressions and Monoprints | Session 5
with Annelies Danielle Schubert

In this session, we will explore the basics of printmaking through the art of monotype. Participants will experiment with different methods of creating marks and gestures to discover what an imprint is and how it can be transformed into an image. The focus will be on making abstract compositions, then identifying visually compelling areas within the prints. By cropping these into postcard format, each participant will leave with a personal collection of unique printed cards.

18:30—20:30

Layers, Transparency, & Linoleum Printing | Session 6
with Juli Estrada

In this workshop, participants will explore the possibilities of layering motifs and colors using linocut. Through the careful carving of blocks and the superimposition of prints, the session will highlight how overlapping elements can create new visual narratives, unexpected harmonies, and striking contrasts. The focus will be on both technical precision and playful experimentation, encouraging participants to discover the storytelling power of different visual elements.

18:30—20:30

Monotype with Found Objects and Stencils | Session 7
with Annelies Danielle Schubert

In this session, we will continue our exploration of monotype by working with found objects and hand-cut stencils. Participants will experiment with different shapes and patterns, exchanging and incorporating stamps created by others to compose collective, dynamic images. The emphasis will be on the visual relationships between forms and their dialogue within the composition.

Playing with Print : Collage and Linocut | Session 8
with Juli Estrada

This playful session combines collaging techniques and linocut printing. Participants will experiment with layering cut paper, textures, and carved blocks, embracing both deliberate design and the element of chance. This workshop encourages spontaneity and improvisation, showing how unexpected juxtapositions can enrich a print.

WEDNESDAY,
OCT. 29TH

18:30—20:30

Colors & Layers through Chine-Collée | Session 9
with Annelies Danielle Schubert

This session introduces the delicate art of chine-collé, a technique that combines thin, often colored paper with printmaking to add subtle layers of color, texture, and depth to an image. Participants will learn how to prepare and apply papers, experimenting with combinations that transform simple collage techniques into richly layered compositions.

WEDNESDAY,
NOV. 5TH

18:30—20:30

Textile as a Printing Surface | Session 10
with Juli Estrada

Moving beyond paper, this session introduces fabric as a rich and flexible support for experimentation. Participants will explore different ways of transferring patterns and images onto cloth, discovering how texture, absorbency, and movement shape the print. From delicate impressions to bold designs, fabric opens the door to wearable or decorative works that carry the tactile memory of the process.

WEDNESDAY,
NOV. 12TH

18:30—20:30

Introduction to Reduction Carving | Session 11
with Annelies Danielle Schubert

This session is dedicated to the “reduction print” linocarving technique. Participants will learn how to work iteratively with a single block, carving and printing it in successive stages. Each new cut removes parts of the design, creating space for additional layers of color. This challenging yet rewarding process results in a multi-layered print where each stage transforms the image in profound ways.

WEDNESDAY,
NOV. 19TH

18:30—20:30

“Kitchen Engraving”: Drypoint on Tetra Pak | Session 12
with Juli Estrada

In this session participants will experiment with intaglio printing using a surprisingly accessible material: recycled food cartons (such as Tetra Pak). Unlike the relief techniques like linocut, drypoint emphasizes incised lines, producing rich, inky impressions with distinctive textures. Participants will learn how to prepare, incise, and print these plates, discovering how humble kitchen materials can yield elegant and striking results.

WEDNESDAY,
NOV. 26TH

18:30—20:30

From Print to Publication: Linocut & Book Making | Session 13
with Annelies Danielle Schubert

This workshop combines the expressive power of linocut with the creative possibilities of book-making. Participants will begin by carving and printing their own linocut designs, experimenting with repetition, variation, and sequencing. These prints will then be transformed into the pages of a small handmade zine, where image and structure come together to tell a visual story.

WEDNESDAY,
DEC. 3RD

18:30—20:30

Printing with Nature | Session 14
with Juli Estrada

This workshop invites participants to use natural elements, such as leaves, flowers, or textured plant matter, as matrices for printing. By inking and pressing these organic forms, participants will discover delicate, sensitive impressions that capture the textures of the natural world. The results range from abstract patterns to figurative impressions, encouraging participants to notice details often overlooked. Each print becomes a collaboration between nature and the artist’s hand.

WEDNESDAY,
DEC. 10TH

18:30—20:30

Collaborative Linocut Printing | Session 15
with Annelies Danielle Schubert

In this session, participants will join forces to create a large-scale collective piece. Each person will contribute their own linocut block, motifs, or textures, which will then be combined into a shared composition. The process highlights collaboration and dialogue between styles, showing how individual voices can merge into a powerful, collective work. The final piece will stand as both an artwork and a memory of shared creativity.

WEDNESDAY,
DEC. 17TH

18:30—20:30

Wrap It Up: Repetition and Gift Wrap Printing | Session 16
with Juli Estrada

The final workshop of the year celebrates pattern, play, and festive spirit. Participants will explore the joy of repetition by designing motifs and printing them in series to create personalized wrapping paper. Using techniques from earlier sessions, linocut, stamping, layering, they will discover how simple shapes can become dynamic patterns when repeated. Everyone will leave with sheets of unique, hand-printed gift wrap, ready to use or keep as works of art.
